Speaking of the perfect beat, here’s one of Aardvarck’s own explorations. It’s rather minimalist, but just listen to the way in which it swings between time signatures. I think that perfect beat arrives at 1.27, of course the “perfect beat” has to encompass that dub-ready bassline too.
