Last year producer Clams Casino remixed ‘Swervin’, a piece from rapper XV’s Zero Heroes mixtape. Here’s the instrumental version of that remix, via Clams’ Twitter.
Delayed sonics in plush multitude, weave around a pretty sparse beat, and although it isn’t strictly, it’s almost an ambient soundscape. Afterwards, you can compare it to the version complete with original rap here. But it doesn’t feel quite as good, as the lyrical rhymes are quite obtrusive and draw the attention away from what is actually an effective cut on it’s own.
Feels similar to the work of Liverpool producer Dauwd.
